Let's plan on discussing Mother Night beginning June 7th. That gives us exactly one month from the last post for RR. And, it gives those of you who may have not yet read the book a chance to catch up.
Maggie is next, then Steve L., then myself. I think I've got a good handle on my pick but I want to finish reading it first before inflicting it on you guys.
Sorry, yes. I'm next and I've settled on "Gilead" by Marilynne Robinson for my pick. I've known this for a while but have been avoiding an official declaration because I'm a bit concerned about how well it will go over with the group. It's gorgeously written, however fairly-slow paced and is more of a series of musings rather than a true story, all which gave me pause.
But, whatever. Who am I to assume what others might like? I'd like us all to read "Gilead," please.

ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
One question: who picks next and is there a pick yet? (not to get ahead of ourselves)
